How I could save TimelineI hate Timeline, both the book and it's movie adaptation. This is not because the movie was poorly acted and the book was poorly written, but because the ending left me dreaming of what could have been. There is one part in the movie when a nameless marine is about to get fucked up by knights and so he whips out a grenade. All of a sudden they have my attention, as one of my ultimate goals in life is to time travel back to the 1600's and become an Uzi-toting God king. Unfortunately, the scene does not end in charred armour and bloodied knights, just a barrier for the protagonists to overcome.  Fuck... that... In my head, the movie would How I could save Timeline

foreign aidI got a pamphlet in the mail yesterday telling me that for $1 a day I could feed a child in the Sudan for a year. So instead I sent that child a M249 light machine gun with a belt loading magazine and shock-resistant stock, along with several boxes of army-surplus M4 carbines for his classmates. That child was then able to execute a coup of the country's already unstable democratic government. He is now a king and the wealthiest person in his country.
